Entrance to Isla Mujeres Bay
Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo, Mexican Caribbean.
Isla Mujeres is the arrival point for all cruisers coming form Florida, Cuba or most ports on the Gulf of Mexico into Mexico.
It is also a very popular destination due to its wonderfully calm waters at is bay, but also the atmosphere of its small town and its closeness to main land and all the its services.
Isla Mujeres can be considered part of the Cancun area but being an island, it stays somehow secluded and independent of Cancun´s resort lifestyle.
Cancun is actually just a few miles away from the island and lots of people go back and forth every day from the island to Cancun on ferries that go across every half hour.
As the small island that it is, Isla Mujeres only offers limited resources, but for cruisers arriving here, finding all basic provisioning from grocery to fuel and water, would be more than plenty.
